Hi, I’m Emily — a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. I support athletes, dancers, performers, and young adults who are navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, and the pressure to figure out who they are and where they’re going.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma City University and a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. I’ve also worked in higher levels of care, including Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) settings, supporting individuals with a wide range of mental health concerns. This experience allows me to meet clients with steadiness, flexibility, and compassion — whether they’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain about what comes next.

My approach to therapy is grounded in empathy, encouragement, and genuine connection. My office is a place where clients can exhale, slow down, and rest — a warm, safe environment where you can press pause from the chaos of the outside world. You don’t have to have everything figured out to show up here.

I enjoy working with people who feel stuck at a crossroads in life — whether you’re choosing a career for the first time, considering a change, or realizing the path you’re on no longer fits. Many of my clients feel pressure to meet expectations or follow a certain script, even when it doesn’t align with what they truly want. Together, we’ll explore the thoughts, feelings, and patterns that may be holding you back, while working toward the life you want to build. I find deep meaning in helping clients gain clarity, confidence, and the permission to choose something different.

I also love working with college students and young adults who are learning how to “adult” for the first time — navigating independence, identity, relationships, and new responsibilities.

In our work together, I primarily draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Expressive Arts techniques. These approaches support both practical coping skills and deeper values-based work, allowing space for creativity, emotional expression, and growth.

As a former dancer, I understand firsthand the unique mental health challenges that come with competitive and performance-based environments—perfectionism, burnout, body image concerns, injuries, identity shifts, and the pressure to always “push through.” Whether it’s performance anxiety, perfectionism, disordered eating, or sports-related trauma (such as injuries, body shaming, or negative coaching experiences), I strive to create a supportive space where athletes and performers can be real, rest, and rebuild.

I specialize in working with:

  • Dancers and performers

  • Competitive and recreational athletes

  • Cheerleaders and gymnasts

  • Teens and young adults navigating anxiety, stress, identity, or life transitions

Outside of the therapy room, you can find me exploring local coffee shops, going on long walks, or getting creative with watercolor painting and embroidery. I bring that same creativity and grounded presence into my sessions, meeting each client with care and curiosity.

If you’re ready to take the next step in your mental health journey — whether as an athlete, performer, or simply a human navigating life — I’d be honored to support you. You don’t have to do it alone.
