About Kayla
Kayla Kirk, LCSW
Hello! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, and I specialize in helping adolescents and teens navigate mental health challenges with compassion, clarity, and connection.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma State University and my Master’s in Social Work from Texas State University. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting adolescents and young adults across a wide range of settings—including private practice, community-based nonprofits, and higher levels of care in treatment centers.
My clinical experience includes working with high-risk youth in the foster care system, providing in-home crisis intervention, managing cases in community counseling organizations, and offering individual, group, and family therapy to teens in eating disorder treatment programs. These experiences have deepened my understanding of how trauma, identity, and relationships impact a young person’s mental health and self-worth.
I work primarily with teens and adolescents who are struggling with eating disorders, trauma, anxiety, depression, and body image issues. I'm currently working toward becoming a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS), and I believe that helping teens build a healthy relationship with food, body, and self is foundational to long-term emotional well-being.
My approach is warm, relational, and rooted in evidence-based practices. I aim to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where young clients can explore who they are, build emotional resilience, and begin to believe in their own strength and worth.
I’m a proud Texas native who finds joy in hiking, traveling, cycling, and spending time with my two energetic Australian Shepherds. I bring that same grounded energy into the therapy room—steady, compassionate, and committed to walking alongside you and your family through the healing process.
If you're looking for a teen therapist or eating disorder specialist in DFW, I’d be honored to support your child’s journey toward healing and self-discovery.
