Celebrating Kayla Kirk, LCSW and Her Recognition on the DFW Child’s 2026 Mom Approved List

We’re excited to share some wonderful news: Kayla Kirk, LCSW, has been named to DFW Child Magazine’s 2026 Mom Approved list!

This recognition is a meaningful reflection of the compassionate, specialized care she provides to adolescents, teens, and their families throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Supporting Teens Through Eating Disorders, Anxiety, Trauma, and Body Image Concerns

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Kayla specializes in working with adolescents and teens navigating eating disorders, body image concerns, anxiety, depression, and trauma.

Her clinical background includes experience in private practice, community-based organizations, crisis intervention, foster care, and higher levels of care. She has also provided individual, group, and family therapy to teens receiving treatment for eating disorders.

These experiences have given her a deep understanding of the complex ways that trauma, identity, relationships, food, and body image can affect a young person’s mental health and sense of self.

For families searching for an eating disorder therapist in Dallas-Fort Worth, Kayla offers a warm, relational approach designed to help teens feel understood and supported as they work toward recovery.

Helping Teens Build a Healthier Relationship With Food and Their Bodies

Eating disorders and body image concerns can be especially challenging during adolescence, when young people are already navigating significant emotional, social, and developmental changes.

Kayla Kirk is currently meeting the requirements for Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) credentialing and is passionate about helping adolescents develop a healthier relationship with food, their bodies, and themselves.

Her approach is grounded in evidence-based therapy while remaining compassionate and individualized. She believes that effective therapy begins with creating a safe, nonjudgmental relationship where teens can be honest about what they're experiencing and families can feel supported throughout the process.

A Teen Therapist Families Can Trust in DFW

In addition to eating disorders and body image concerns, Kayla works with teens experiencing anxiety, depression, and trauma.

Her goal is not simply to help young people manage symptoms, but to help them better understand themselves, develop emotional resilience, strengthen their relationships, and recognize their own worth.

As a Texas native and longtime advocate for adolescents and families, she brings a grounded, compassionate presence to the therapy room. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, traveling, cycling, and spending time with her two Australian Shepherds.

Congratulations, Kayla!

We are incredibly proud to see Kayla recognized by DFW Child Magazine’s 2026 Mom Approved list. Most importantly, we’re grateful for the difference she makes in the lives of the teens and families she serves.
